Welcome to the USS Anubis, NCC-82400, the first in her class. It is with great pleasure that I, Captain Mark Reinhart, invite you to browse through the site. You will find information about the SIMM, with details on the Anubis' specifications, her crew manifest, and her current mission.

A Destroyer is a fast and maneuverable warship intended for the escort of larger vessels in a fleet or battle group. Their roles progressed since their development in the late 19th Century as ships that took out targets before they became threats, to roles of superior combatants charged with the defense of vital operations for fleet actions in the 24th Century.

They are sent on patrols to single-handedly deter any threats to the fleet, and they are demanded success. The true question to ask yourself is if you can handle the pressure of protecting the mission, eliminating threats before they become threats, and operating alone in the darkness of space without reinforcements against superior numbers and be victorious?

The USS Anubis, a destroyer by design, is now accepting applications for crewmembers who can handle the daunting task. We are not an intergalactic explorer like the Excalibur class, we are a replacement for the old and dying Miranda's and Excelsior's. We were the product of all the research developed, a mistake at its best. And we have been tasked to become the workhorse warship of the fleet. This starship is assigned to Task Force 21, the Wolf Star Squadron, with duties as a front line warship.

Our missions range from diplomatic and scientific, to intelligence gathering and combative patrols. The versatility of the Anubis is not limited by her size, and any orders demanded on her crew will be carried out.

Our mission is the deterrence of war by a display of power. Our standard is success. Winston Churchill once said: "Sometimes, it is not enough to do our best, we must do what is required."
